When you write an essay in English you need to know about its structure:
-it needs to be balanced
-you need to focus on the points you want to cover, usually you can focus on different points to present your ideas

– you need to write by using paragraphs

-you need to provide examples and ideas for what you are writing about

– think of the essay as a  well-planned structure : you will need an introduction, a  development with  some ideas or different ideas  and a conclusion

TIPS FOR BETTER WRITING

  • Brainstorm your ideas
  • Write down your first draft of what you would like to write about
  • Check vocabulary and the spelling of words, language structures and sentences
  • Think about the register of your writing ( who is going to read it?)
  • Re-write your essay a second time

October has begun

In these images you can see a lot things related to Autumn. Usually  October  marks the beginning of  colder and rainy days.

Which words and which meanings  do you associate to October?

Draw a  spidergram with the events that come to your mind and also  the colours of  Autumn.

Autumn

Which images do you associate to Autumn?   Do you know the American  word for  Autumn?  It’s Fall: why?

Now look at this painting : what does it present? How do you feel? Does this painting have any message for us?

Try to describe what the painter focussed on  in this  painting: how do you perceive nature?  What colours have been chosen? Why?
